BASE - 1/2" Birch ply, 10" x 16". There are three grooves in the base - two for the sides and one for the front piece. The grooves for the two sides are spaced 10" apart. These grooves must be cut accurately to match up with the grooves in the top.

MOLDING - Take a 5' length of molding and round the entire length of one edge (not the 90 degree corner). Use a 1/4" round-over bit with bearing against the flat side. After the plywood parts are glued up, carefully cut the seven molding pieces. The 90 degree corner of the molding will be on the inside and against the base, and the 1/4" rounded edge will be on the inside top facing up. You will have some waste as you cut the mating surfaces, using 45 or 90 degree cuts.
